CANTOR SPREADFAIR is a subsidiary of Cantor Index who is a member of the London Stock Exchange and regulated by the UK Financial Services Authority (FSA). Cantor Index Ltd is part of the Cantor Fitzgerald Group, a world leader in financial markets with over 55 years' experience as a wholesale financial intermediary. Has a very solid reputation and highest integrity. Its expertise in risk management has now opened up to the world of spread betting. Cantor Index provides spread betting on primarily the financial markets whereas Cantor Spreadfair has a primary focus on sporting events (although there are some financial products available for trading at Cantor Spreadfair).

Cantor Spreadfair has a distinct focus on UK-based sporting events such as Soccer, Cricket, Rugby Union and UK Horse Racing. However, the markets covered are growing at a decent rate and now offer markets on various international events such as American Football, Movies and Golf. Liquidity is good and the most popular sports or events generally have very narrow spreads as you are betting against other players rather than a market maker. As there are no STOP LOSS or LIMIT LOSS facilities, there is no limit to your potential gains or losses! However, if you like spread betting and are willing to take the risks, then Cantor Spreadfair offers an excellent place as the spreads tend to be more narrow than with traditional spread betting firms.

There are two sign up bonuses on offer but you can only choose one or the other when opening your account.

  1. £50 Cash Offer
Place one bet of any size on any market and they will credit your account with £50. Enter the promo code FRB001 when opening your account then contact Cantor Spreadfair by email or phone after your first bet to claim your £50. (£50 must be risked before it can be withdrawn.)
  2. £2,500 Cash Back Offer
Depending on your trading activity, you will reduce the commission charged by Cantor Spreadfair. At certain commission tiers, you will receive a cash bonus. You will earn one commission point for every £25 of net profit and loss on standard markets and one point for every £25 of aggregate profit and loss on long term markets. At 2 points, the commission tier will be 4.9% and you will receive a £25 cash bonus and if you are a major trader, then at 3.0%, you get the final £1,500 cash bonus, making it a total of £2,500. To claim this offer, you must enter promo code CBK001 when you open your account. See Loyalty Programme below for more details.

CANTOR SPREADFAIR - BETTING & COVERAGE

CANTOR SPREADFAIR provides markets in the following sports / events:

American Football
Boxing Cricket Financial Markets
Golf Football Horse Racing Movies
Olympics Politics Rugby Union Snooker
Tennis

Please note that depending on the season and general developments, there might be more markets added or some may be unavailable.

Liquidity is quite good for most of the mainstream sports. However, we have noticed that with some of the less popular sports, matches or events, liquidity can be quite tight and thus spreads very wide. But for most of the popular sports or events, spreads are usually very narrow as there is no middleman taking a cut on the spreads.

All positions opened on Cantor Spreadfair attract a NTR (Notional Trading Requirement), which is the minimum amount of money or credit required to open a new position. The NTR varies from market to market depending on the volatility of the market. For example, if you want to buy £50 of corners at 11 in a soccer match, you will need to have £250 available in credit as the NTR for corners is 5. Essentially the NTR is a measure of the expected volatility of a particular event.

CANTOR SPREADFAIR - SPECIAL FEATURES

NO STOP OR LIMIT LOSS FACILITY

Cantor Spreadfair does not offer Stop loss or Limit Loss accounts or facility. To hedge or set a maximum loss, you will need to leave an order whereby you sell or buy an event opposite to your original bet. For example, let's say that you bet £10 that England will score less than 200 runs against Australia in a one day international cricket match. To limit any potential losses, you could leave an order to sell 250 runs at £10 and thereby limit your potential losses to £500. If England score 150 runs, you will make a £500 profit.

But if England have a really good day batting and you have not left a sell order and you are out partying instead of watching the game or your computer crashes, your potential losses could far exceed what you were prepared to risk when you made the initial bet. Let's say that England really scored at a tremendous run rate and finished with 500 runs (dream on), your loss would be £3,000. NOTE that there is no Upper Limit on gains nor on losses!
