CASINO GAMES - ROULETTE WINNING SYSTEMS |
| There are thousands of money management systems in roulette game. Every lucky gambler declares that his system ensure a profit. It is DEFINITELY NOT so. There is no way to make guaranteed profit from a mathematically detrimental game. It is the same problem as with the perpetual motion. If you use any money system or don't use any, your expected loss is always about 2.703% of total wagered money (at French roulette) over time. You can't beat the underlying mathematics that the house edge on every spin is 2.703%. |
 |
| However, if you decide to have a dabble at roulette, it is crazy to play American roulette if there is a choice between American and European (French) roulette as the house edge in American roulette is over 5%. The most famous betting system which has been applied to all forms of gambling or risk taking is the Martingale System. The underlying principle is simplicity itself which is that you double your stake each time you lose until you win. The only problem with this system is that you would have to have a near infinite bank balance and an unlimited upper table limit. Let's say you bet $10 on black and it comes up red. So now you bet $20 on black and it comes up red again. Let's say a total of 10 reds have hit in a row. To win $10 on the 11th spin in the sequence, you would have to risk a further $10,240 on top of the $10,230 that you have bet in total during the losing sequence to win $10. There are numerous stories where 18 or more of one colour have hit in a row. If you were betting on the losing colour, you would have lost a total of $2.62 million in chasing a $10 win. This is just an example as you would have most likely reached the table limits long before the 18th consequetive colour. The total amount wagered using the Martingale system on an initial $10 stake is shown to the right. |

| Most gambling systems work on the principle of the law of averages. Sooner or later your number or bet will hit. For example, if you bet on zero neighbours, the law of averages states that one of the five numbers will come up sooner or later. The only problem is if it is much, much later. The losses mount up similar to the Martingale system. The only difference here is that you don't have to double up after each losing spin.
Others claim that it is better to bet a whole serious of numbers next to each other such as 27-16 on a European roulette table. This sequence of numbers is commonly referred to as Kia. Then you have zero spiel which includes the numbers 15,32,0,26,3,35 and 12. The other numbers are known as Orpheline. Again, any system based on this strategy still follows the principle of the law of averages.
There is an old anecdote to conclude with. Once a great physicist Albert Einstein was asked : "Does, in your opinion, any roulette system ensure the 100% win?" "Yes. I know one - to steal chips from the table when the dealer does not see it", the scientist answered.
Listen to the great man himself, Albert Einstein. THERE IS NO GUARANTEED WINNING SYSTEM. If you like to play roulette, advice is to play the European roulette table as it offers better odds than American roulette and believe in lady luck. However, REMEMBER THAT THE HOUSE HAS AN EDGE ON EVERY SPIN!!! |
