TEXAS HOLDEM PREFLOP HAND RANKINGS

The list below shows the generally accepted Texas Holdem Preflop hand rankings. Most agree that the top 5 are as listed below. However, some argue that AK off-suit (i.e. two different suited cards - e.g. Ace of Hearts and King of Clubs) should be ranked higher. Other players have personal preferences such as pocket pairs (e.g. 9, 9 or 2, 2). Although the list below gives a general guide, the hand rankings might vary depending on the style of play at the table (i.e. loose, medium or very tight).
