part of the PrimaPoker Network, with its shared player database.
Prima Network has grown quickly in 2005 and now has well over
10,000 players online at peak time and several thousand off
peak. 100% initial sign up bonus up to $50 may sound quite
low compared to others but at least it is not that difficult
to qualify for the bonus. The action is loose and fast due
to the improved software and the reduction of time that a
player has for his/her decision making.
The software has been improved lately, but still leaves some
room for improvement. On the positive side, there are many
very juicy and aggressive games, which is good both for the
action lover and the advanced players looking for a good hourly
return. With the generous promotions and much larger player
volumes, Golden Riviera Poker has become one of the market

Golden
Riviera Poker software is a customised shared-network version
of Prima Poker Network by Microgaming. Poor graphics and limited
functionality. There is no player options menu where you can
set your preferences. Looks more like a casino lobby than a
poker lobby. Although there have been a number of smaller makeovers
of the software during2005, there is still a lot of improvements
required before reaching the level of top poker room software.
Royal Vegas Poker does share the player base with the rest of
the Prima Poker Network to ensure high traffic. Hand history
is available by HTML page and via email. One nice feature is
the possibility to see all actions in the chat area to the right
- who raised and called and for which amounts in the previous
betting rounds and previous hands. This feature is invaluable
for players not keeping full focus on the game (playing on other
tables or having other distractions). |

Very
basic table layout. No player avatars and no options feature
to set up your individual player preferences and there is
only limited sound (just when cards being dealt). There is
a time bar which is now much quicker, actually too quick for
some. However, this ensures relatively fast paced games. If
loose games are what you are looking for and not too worried
about fancy graphics and functionalities, Golden Riviera Poker
is definitely of interest. The annoying thing though is that
one cannot minimise the chat/game history window. |
