ROOM REVIEW - FULL TILT POKER |
 |
Full
Tilt Poker is one of the very fastest growing poker rooms
in the world. Within two years, Full Tilt Poker has gone from
0 (discounting the 10 affiliated poker pros) to around 7,000
players online at peak hours. That is some phenomenal growth.
With solid financial backers and endorsed by famous poker
pros, it is no wonder they have grown so quickly with the
absolutely enormous 100% initial sign up bonus up to $600!
This kind of promotion is more common with online casinos
and not poker rooms. If you are a frequent player, this is
some opportunity!
When you hit the tables, you will be in for a surprise. The
look and feel is quite different from any other poker room
that we have seen. The player tables have a very cartoon-ish
feel with cartoon player avatars. Although the interface works
well, the player functionality lags quite far behind the best
poker rooms. The majority of games is at the lower stake No
Limit Holdem with only a handful of tables for the other poker
variants. The quality of play at the higher stake games is
very high and even at the lower stakes, the quality of players
is quite high. |

TILT POKER - INTERFACE |
| The
Full
Tilt Poker software has proven reasonably reliable. The
interface is easy to use and provides the essential table information
such as blinds, average pot, players per flop and hands played
per hour. Very similar to Prima-based poker room interfaces. |

TILT POKER - PLAYER TABLES |
The
player tables are a sight to behold. We are unsure if they
have hit a right note with the cartoonesque feel of the player
tables, particularly if you are playing 7 Card Stud at $1,000/$2,000
blinds. However, they have guts and the player tables provide
a unique look. However, after a while we found that the novelty
wears out quickly and soon becomes rather irritating. Decent
stats function but very little else to support the player
like player notes function and useful player settings facility. |

TILT POKER - RING GAMES |
There
are plenty of Texas Hold Em ring games at all times of the
day. However, there are few players of the other forms of
poker but this is steadily growing albeit at a mundane pace.
In essence, Full Tilt Poker is primarily for those that have
a preference for Hold Em and No Limit in particular. Most
of the games are at the lower stakes but higher stakes games
are becoming a regular feature. Player volumes are now up
with most of the poker rooms/poker networks apart from the
2 market leaders of Party Poker and PokerStars. This is only
the second poker room that have 9 player maximum tables rather
than the more common 10. |

TILT POKER - TOURNAMENTS |
Full
Tilt Poker has a reasonable tournament schedule but nothing
to get too excited about. Player volumes are, however, quite
decent and amount to quite a few thousand at peak hours. Unfortunately,
it has been difficult to ascertain what their regular tournament
schedule is which is a negative; makes it hard to plan for
the future. |

TILT POKER - LOYALTY PROGRAMME |

Full
Tilt Poker award Full Tilt Points based on raked hands.
The Full Tilt Points can be converted into branded Full Tilt
Poker products. Also there are VIP Player freerolls where
the top 1,500 Full Tilt Point earners qualify for various
large guaranteed freerolls with a value of up to $28,000.
Full Tilt Poker offers a 100% deposit match bonus up to $600
for all first time depositors. Playing at for example one
$0.5/$1 NL table you will typically earn about $3-$6 in bonus
per hour. The fine print. For each dollar raked from a pot,
every player who was dealt cards for that hand will earn one
point. You can earn partial points if less than one dollar
is raked, and you can earn up to three points per hand. Each
point is worth $.06, so you can earn up to $18 per hundred
hands. The bonus is released to your cash account into increments
of 20% of your initial deposit. So if you do a one-time deposit
of $100, with each $20 you earn, it will be released into
your account. |
