ROOM REVIEW - DOYLES ROOM |
 |
Doyle's
Room is a fast growing poker room, managed by poker legends
Doyle Brunson and Mike Caro. In a special campaign you get
Doyles Super/System 2, the long-awaited follow-up to the “poker
bible” Super/System. Doyles Room shares its technology
and player base with the large Tribeca Table network (Victor
Chandler Poker, etc). Doyles Room is one of the very few rooms
in the network, which is open for US players. The software
has a nice interface and offers good playability. Currently,
Holdem and Omaha games are accommodated, but within shortly
seven-card stud and Hi-Lo will be added. There are both single-
and multi-table tournaments. The tournaments actually have
the highest traffic in this poker room, with lots of good
value free rolls.

DOYLES
ROOM - INTERFACE |
| Doyle's
Room software is developed by Tribeca Tables, with nice
graphics and good functionality. On the positive side, there
are features like; buddy list function, private tables, pot-
and no-limit ring games, live floor managers, overall nice graphics
and multi-table tournaments. However, there are some let downs;
lobby information does not include view flop percentage and
almost only games in Texas Holdem. The game information is a
bit messy and confusing but like with anything, it takes time
to get used to. |

ROOM - PLAYER TABLES |
The
graphics and software has greatly been improved upon lately.
Not only can you add your player image to represent you at
the table but the quality is first class. As it is by Tribeca,
it shares the same network as Victor Chandler Poker. You have
a large chat and log window which you can move freely or cancel
altogether. Very professional looking interface. It is not
only a definite design job but extremely easy to use with
nice graphics and good functionality. There is a 1x, 2x, 4,
8x, 16x or max (all in) Big Blind raise facility. Only really
annoying thing is that in PL and NL games, there is no bar
to determine raise (you have to type it in). Very fast with
nice sound functions. Good server reliability and decent player
volumes. There are features like buddy list function, private
tables, and live floor managers. |

ROOM - RING GAMES |
Doyle's
Room is growing steadily as it is part of the Tribeca
network. There are now often well over 1,500 ring game players
online at peak hours. Fairly limited limits and most action
is naturally at Texas Hold Em. |

ROOM - TOURNAMENTS |
Doyle's
Room has an extensive tournament list with around 100
scheduled tournaments daily. There is quite a lot of action
at the single table (sit and go) tournaments as well with
buyin from as little as 10 cents to $500! It is thus understandable
why the traffic at the tournaments is often better than at
ring games with several thousand at peak hours. Doyles Room
has a number of player freerolls of any online poker room.
However, most of them require player points as entry fee.
There are very low buyin satellites (less than a $1) to the
larger multi-tournaments. |

The interface is ok, good
if you only play one table, but playing multiple tables
is hard because there is only one box for chatting,
you can get either 25% of deposit or free copy of supersystem
2 when you put in real money. The number of people is
not too big, average amount. Highest limits are 50/100
limit and 5/10 at no limit. most tables are for either
9 people or 6 people. Depositing is easy and fast, done
through the regular services.
There are three types of people. Those who can count,
and those who can't. |
