ROOM REVIEW - BETONUSA |
 |
BetOnUsa Poker is managed by one of the largest sports
books in the world - BetOnUSA. There are many very juicy and
aggressive games, which is good both for the action lover
and the advanced players looking for a good hourly return.
By being part of the PrimaPoker Network, this room shares
the player database. This network has grown quickly since
launching in 2002. The software, variety of games and stake
limits have greatly improved from earlier versions. The view
flop percentage at full Holdem tables is typically in the
40-ies and 50-ies, with some tables reaching up to the 70-ies.
On the negative side, the software has a less nice usability
than most top competitors, the graphics could be better and
the stability is not the best at all times but improving a
lot of late. Action is fast and loose. BetOnUsa Poker is hampered
by its low sign-on bonus of 20% as there are few other benefits
not offered by other poker rooms that are connected to the
Prima Network. The one advantage BetOnUsa Poker has it that
one account gives you access to one of the largest sports
books in the world, online casino, live wagering, horse racing
and virtual horse racing.

| BetOnUsa
Poker software is a customised shared-network version of
Prima Poker Network by Microgaming. Poor graphics and limited
functionality. There is no player options menu where you can
set your preferences. Looks more like a casino lobby than a
poker lobby. Although there have been a number of smaller makeovers
of the software during 2003 and 2004, there is still a lot of
improvements required before reaching the level of top poker
room software. Royal Vegas Poker does share the player base
with the rest of the Prima Poker Network to ensure high traffic.
Hand history is available by HTML page and via email. One nice
feature is the possibility to see all actions in the chat area
to the right - who raised and called and for which amounts in
the previous betting rounds and previous hands. This feature
is invaluable for players not keeping full focus on the game
(playing on other tables or having other distractions). In sum,
the software is now OK, but leaves some room for improvement. |

POKER - PLAYER TABLES |
Very
basic table layout. No player avatars and no options feature
to set up your individual player preferences and there is
only limited sound (just when cards being dealt). There is
a time bar which is now much quicker, actually too quick for
some. However, this ensures relatively fast paced games. If
loose games are what you are looking for and not too worried
about fancy graphics and functionalities, Royal Vegas Poker
is definitely of interest. |

POKER - RING GAMES |
BetOnUsa
Poker (Prima Poker) ring game traffic is quite high. The
ring game traffic at peak times is around 3,000 players. Fairly
limited game variety. However, the action tends to be loose
and fast. A lot of short-handed tables (max. 6 players) and
plenty of high limit tables. |
