POKER ROOM REVIEW - AZTEC RICHES POKER

Aztec Riches Poker is part of the PrimaPoker Network and shares the player database. This network has grown quickly since launching in 2002. The software, variety of games and stake limits have greatly improved from earlier versions. The view flop percentage at full Holdem tables is typically in the 40-ies and 50-ies, with some tables reaching up to the 70-ies. On the negative side, the games seem to be quite slow but most of all Aztec Riches does not offer live chat or 24/7 telephone support unlike most other Prima Poker Network rooms. This is one of our least favourite Prima Network-based poker rooms.

AZTEC RICHES POKER - INTERFACE
Aztec Riches Poker software is a customised shared-network version of Prima Poker Network by Microgaming. Looks more like a casino lobby than a poker lobby. Although there have been a number of smaller makeovers of the software of late, there is still a lot of improvements required before reaching the level of top poker room software. Aztec Riches Poker does share the player base with the rest of the Prima Poker Network to ensure high traffic. Hand history is available by HTML page and via email. One nice feature is the possibility to see all actions in the chat area to the right - who raised and called and for which amounts in the previous betting rounds and previous hands. This feature is invaluable for players not keeping full focus on the game (playing on other tables or having other distractions). In sum, the software is now OK, but leaves some room for improvement.
AZTEC RICHES POKER - PLAYER TABLES

Very basic table layout. No player avatars and no options feature to set up your individual player preferences and there is only limited sound (just when cards being dealt). The action is quite slow with a lot of time given for each player's decision. The cards are clear and distinct and it is easy to switch between two tables (which is likely that you will be playing as the action is so slow that you could fall asleep by the time it is your turn).

AZTEC RICHES POKER - RING GAMES

Aztec Riches Poker (Prima Poker) ring game traffic is quite high. The ring game traffic at peak times is around 3,000 players. Fairly limited game variety. However, the action tends to be loose and fast. A lot of short-handed tables (max. 6 players) and plenty of high limit tables.

AZTEC RICHES POKER - SUPPORT

There is only e-mail support strangely enough. The e-mail support works reasonably well but definitely a huge minus as all other Prima Network Poker Rooms offer 24/7 live telephone support and/or live chat support.

AZTEC RICHES POKER - MEMBER COMMENTS
MEMBER DATE POSTED COMMENTS
Eurobonus 4 Dec. 2005 One of the worst Prima Network-based poker rooms. Very little incentive to choose Aztec Riches Poker over another Prima-based poker room. I quit this room and prefer others that offer so much more to compete with the best of the Prima-based poker rooms such as Royal Las Vegas.
