JOINGING A HORSE RACING SYNDICATE

If you are keen to join a racehorse syndicate, the first point of contact should be the national racehorse regulatory body who will provide you with the ins and outs of racehorse ownership and lists of authorised syndicates. Below are links to some national horseracing governing bodies. If you have already set your mind on joining a syndicate, there are a few syndicates listed below as well which have horses with some of the country's leading trainers.

US www.castlevillagefarm.com A small set up to run partnerships. Castle Village Farm consists of ten separate partnerships, most of which own more than one horse. Billy Turner, Jimmy Ferraro and Leah Gyarmati train for them in New York; Jamie Woodington trains for our New Jersey partnership; and Steve Rydowski trains for us in Florida.
UK www.peterharrisracing.co.uk Established trainer based in Hertfordshire. Trained Royal Ascot and group winners.Would-be owners can purchase a twelfth, quarter, half or whole horse - it is up to you. Each owner pays a sum of money each month (which can never be increased) to cover the costs of buying and training the horse, including farrier, vet, transport, jockey and race entry fees. There are no hidden extras and we take care of all the administration such as VAT and ownership registration.
UK www.patedderyracing.com Pat Eddery was a multiple championship jockey in the UK having won many of the world's most prestigious races including the Arc de Triomphe 4 times and over 465 pattern winners. After hanging up his boots, he formed the Pat Eddery Racing syndicate. Consisting of fifteen owners, each syndicate comprises one or two horses and lasts for two seasons. As with most syndicates, the horses run in the syndicate's racing colours.
Ireland www.kencondonracingstables.com New Stable in Ireland. Each syndicate consists of 10 owners. A typical set up would be €300 per month and a one off €2,250 for the share. As it is a relatively new set up, it is likely that you will get a more personable service than a huge mega set up.
