WHO ARE WE?

G-index.net is a resource of online gaming sites in particular and gambling in general. G-index.net was set up to form a community of likeminded individuals like ourselves who enjoy a dabble at poker, roulette, black jack or some other form for real money. As real money is involved, there are a lot of dodgy sites, cheaters, spyware gambling sites and so on, all set up to fleece the honest player. By pooling together our resources and experiences, we can save each other a lot of problems by reporting them on the G Message Board.

HOW CAN WE TRUST YOU?

G-index.net is a neutral observer of the world of online gaming. G-index.net is not affiliated or directly associated with any online or offline gaming site or establishment. The aim is to provide an unbiased reporting of the world of online gaming based upon member experiences, feedbacks, reports and G-index.net staff research. We do believe that if you read our reviews and member comments, you can quickly see that we report the good and the bad aspects about an online site. And also, we have a huge list of blacklisted online gambling sites which you ought to stay well clear of.

You can often see some of us playing poker, backgammon or at the black jack tables. And many of the members have seen us play, competed against us or just chatting online for hours in the Chat Room.

HOW DO YOU RATE AND RANK AN ONLINE GAMBLING SITE?

G-index.net uses an algorithm to rate all online gaming sites based upon member reviews. As it is a set algorithm, the staff of G-index.net can not influence the ratings directly. However, from time to time, the algorithm may be tweaked in order to accommodate new developments and member preferences of what is important when rating a site. This will lead to rating changes accordingly. It is, however, impossible for G-index.net staff to influence the ratings individually so there is no idea to contact us to improve your site's rating. However, if you do feel that your site has been unfairly represented, we welcome your comments and if justified, we will put in a footnote with your comments on your site's review page and when time allows us, we will review your online site again.

Please note that if a member sends a negative review and it has some validity, then the online gambling site receives a negative point score to their total score which lowers their rating and thus drop them down the ranking list. The negative score received depends on the seriousness of the G-member complaint!

WHY SHOULD I JOIN G-INDEX?

Yes, it is true that we do earn a fee each time someone links up via G-index. However, unlike 99% of other Forums, we give it back to the players in the form of prizes in competitions, fun G-merchandise, tournament entries for Team G and special bonus prizes. One of these days, one G-member will be sponsored to play in the WSOP Championship Final!

WHAT DOES THE "G" STAND FOR?

The "G" can be anything you wish. It can mean "Good", "Gaming", "Great" or anything else that is positive that begins with "G". Seriously though, the "G" combined with the "index" stands for Gaming Index. However, with the evolution of the site and Team G, G-points etc. the "G" has taken on a life of its own. Perhaps we should have a fun competition what "G" means for our members and the most original wins a decent prize?!
